The Clipper Corporation is a 15-year old manufacturing and
distribution company engaged in providing supplies and uniforms
for a variety of restaurants and related industries.

 The Clipper era began in the mid 1800’s with a dream prompted by the Industrial Revolution. During this period in history, no ship ever built was as beautiful, as sleek or as fast as the Clipper navigating the trade winds from Asia.
Lina Hu immigrated to this country from China in 1992 also with a dream. She arrived with aspirations to establish herself in this land of opportunity. With her dedication, commitment and unwavering belief in her dream, she founded Clipper Corporation in 1994. The name Clipper was chosen to capture the winds of opportunity the majestic ships symbolized.
Clipper was established in Pasadena, California. The small company was located in the city’s high-rise business district. Its’ first break came with Burger King in 1996. Shortly thereafter, Clipper expanded its’ list of national accounts to include Darden Restaurants headquarters to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze, Smokey Bones, Long John Silver’s and All American Food) and Yum Brands Inc. headquarters to Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken). With its’ newfound success, Clipper moved to a larger facility located in Torrance, California in 1999. It soon added IHOP, Domino’s Pizza and Denny’s Restaurants. On December 13, 2002, to accommodate its’ continuing success, Clipper purchased a newly constructed office and warehouse facility located in Carson, California. The new space offers over four times the square footage of the Torrance location, and provides the necessary facilities to cater to the growing needs of existing and prospective multi-billion dollar clients. Clipper's second facility located in McDonough, Georgia is a 50,000 sq.ft. East Coast Distribution and Customer Service center. This new facility allows Clipper to shorten our delivery times to our customers located on the East Coast and broadens our customer distribution capability throughout the U.S.
Today, Clipper Corporation is a formidable leader in the food service and hospitality industry.
